Industrial Sales and New Orders show significant increase |

The National Statistical Service of Greece publishes the Turnover Index in Industry, with base year 2000=100.0, for June 2008, according to provisional5 results, as follows:
• The Turnover Index in Industry (both domestic and non-domestic market) in June 2008, as compared to June 2007, rose by 16.8%. A year earlier, the annual rate of change was –3.3%.
• The average Turnover Index in Industry for the 12-month period July 2007 - June 2008, as compared to the 12-month period July 2006 - June 2007, rose by 10.6%. A year earlier, the corresponding average rate of change was 3.7%.
The National Statistical Service of Greece publishes the New Orders Index in Industry, with base year 2000=100.0, for June 2008, according to provisional5 results, as follows:
• The New Orders Index in Industry (both domestic and non-domestic market) in June 2008, as compared to June 2007, rose by 10.9%. A year earlier, the annual rate of change was –8.9%.
• The average New Orders Index in Industry for the 12-month period July 2007 - June 2008, as compared to the 12-month period July 2006 - June 2007, rose by 1.4%. A year earlier, the corresponding average rate of change was 6.7%.
