Answer: The value of the company is not dependent on the macroeconomic factors. However, the purchase price for the business may be affected.
The return on investment in a small or medium - sized business (and hence the price buyers are willing to pay) does not depend on purely financial factors. However, if the situation of the economy is not good you should expect to find less buyers that would be willing to pay for the asking price than if the situation was better and in turn you may have to accept a lower price especially if you have time constraints.
